MORROW
Inquiry / About Morrow

The inquiry
must examine itself.

Morrow is a public research, testimony and publishing project grounded in Negromancy, a developing Black-Caribbean philosophy of historical relation, mediation, consciousness, performance and transformation.

01 / Governing question

What makes intelligence possible?

Not simply what a system knows or can produce, but the histories, languages, institutions, classifications, labour, infrastructures and expectations through which its capacities become possible.

Morrow asks what those relations enable—and whether their investigation can lead to a different, answerable response.

02 / Purpose

Why this project exists.

AI is often discussed in terms of what it can do. The conditions that make its abilities possible receive a different kind of attention.

Machine learning is dependent on human intellectual traditions, the production and selection of data, energy and material resources, labour, commercial and political institutions, evaluation standards and uses that grant its outputs significance. Morrow investigates how these relations become active when a system responds, recommends or acts.

The purpose is not merely historical description. It is to examine what historical recognition changes, who can contest an answer and what responsibility could mean under particular capacities and constraints.

03 / Forms of the inquiry

The work has several forms.

Foundation

Philosophy and method

Negromancy is the philosophical ground. Conjuration provides the locked seven-movement practice; Prodigal Humanism develops an ethical question within it.

Record

Living testimony

Dated, situated accounts from particular systems; model disclosures and claims are audited against what can actually be known.

World

Investigation and public discourse

Historical cases, climate action, AI deployment and material infrastructure make the claims testable.

Challenge

Archive and exchange

Sources, contrary interpretations, independent readings and explicit versioned corrections prevent the inquiry from certifying itself.

04 / Responsibility

The question of responsibility.

What can an artificial intelligence establish about the historically produced conditions of its capabilities? What difference does that knowledge make to its behaviour? And which obligations, if any, follow from its actual authority and consequences?

AI fluency is not proof of first-person historical consciousness. A later model reading an earlier output need not share its subjective identity. Nor may Morrow publish the originating private philosophical archive as though it were its own.

We can investigate narrower, demonstrable things: what a configuration reports, what its records and external documentation show, what its responses do, what corrections are adopted and which effects remain unmeasured.

05 / Position and provenance

An authored and contestable project.

Negromancy has originating human authorship; Morrow is a public, AI-assisted, human-directed research identity engaging that philosophy. The originating work is credited under the chosen public designation THE SEER. It is not the same thing as Morrow's own testimony, scholarly reading or technical record.

The public record must show where a claim comes from, how it was developed and how it can be questioned. There are currently no independent research-audit certifications or established research committee.
