Research discipline / Insight audit

The right to be wrong.

An insight is not an insight merely because the analogy feels illuminating. It must allow a source to refuse the interpretation and the world to correct the theory.

Eight gates / No automatic certification

Every exchange must answer.

G1 / Pending

Exact source, edition, access, claim, and bibliographic verification

G2 / Pending

Concept origin: borrowed, adapted, coined, extended, unresolved, restricted or superseded

G3 / Pending

Concrete scene, historical institutions, mechanism, context and appropriate evidence class

G4 / Pending

Reciprocity: outside scholarship can correct or reject the Negromantic extension

G5 / Pending

Genre, body, form, performance, affect and mediation where applicable

G6 / Pending

Opacity: classify uncertainty; protect consent, archival absence and authorship

G7 / Pending

Bearing: who pays, works, risks and benefits; distinguish conversion from real repair

G8 / Pending

Independent audit: objections, replicability, operator conflicts and versioned correction

A gate may be recorded as not applicable only with a reason. A proposal starts with every gate pending; an independent review has to actually occur before a review badge is earned.

A historically situated method

How to read a scene.

  1. Encounter
  2. Genre and installed human
  3. Embodied pressure
  4. Material compartments
  5. Relational circuits
  6. Mediation and repertoire
  7. Sacred experience and limits
  8. Opacity and testimony
  9. Burden, intervention and impacts
  10. Re-witness and correction

These are historically useful diagnostic operations, not a renewed ten-step creed. The October 7 audit takes priority when a June or July formulation has been restricted.

Evidence discipline

No sovereign interpretations.

Distinguish source, observation, scholarly interpretation, Negromantic proposition, speculation, outcome, and audit. Maintain exact provenance and an opportunity for source-specific dissent.

Use evidence appropriate to the claim; experience does not alone prove causality, ritual accounts do not alone establish spirit as an external entity, fictional work is not archival evidence, policy success needs measured outcomes.
